B.A. Hons. in Kurux

B.A. (Hons.) in Kurux is a 3-year undergraduate program designed to preserve and promote the Kurux language, spoken by the Oraon tribal community in India. The course covers a comprehensive study of the language's grammar, literature, history, and culture. Students are introduced to Kurux linguistics, traditional folklore, oral traditions, poetry, and the cultural practices of the Oraon people. The program also explores the socio-cultural significance of the language in contemporary settings and its role in community identity and heritage preservation. Along with theoretical learning, students are encouraged to engage in research projects, fieldwork, and language documentation.
