A 3-year undergraduate program called the B.Sc. in Medical Renal Dialysis Technology teaches students how to use and operate dialysis equipment to treat patients with kidney failure. Renal physiology, dialysis techniques, equipment maintenance, and patient care are among the subjects covered in the curriculum. Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements must have finished their 10+2 or similar science-related test with at least 45–50% of the possible points in disciplines like physics, chemistry, biology, or mathematics. Depending on the university, admission is usually determined by entrance exam results or merit.
