Students who complete the 2-year Advance Diploma in Dialysis Technology (ADRDT) program are prepared to work as Dialysis Technicians and support Nephrologists in their roles. Kidney anatomy and physiology, dialysis principles, dialysis machine operation, infection control, patient care, and emergency procedures are the topics covered in the course.
Candidates must have finished their 10+2 in science courses (physics, chemistry, and biology) in order to be qualified for the ADRDT program. Both theoretical classroom education and practical training in dialysis techniques, including supervised clinical rotations and simulated lab sessions, are part of the program.
Graduates of the program can work as dialysis technicians or renal care technicians in clinics, hospitals, dialysis facilities, and other healthcare settings after successfully completing the course. They are essential in supporting nephrologists.
