Ph.D. in Teratology

The study of anomalies in physiological development is the main emphasis of a 3-5 year Ph.D. degree in teratology. Advanced courses in developmental biology, toxicology, genetics, and embryology are part of this research-heavy degree. Students use human data or animal models to undertake unique research on the mechanisms and causes of birth abnormalities. Attendance at scientific conferences, teaching assistantships, and laboratory rotations are all possible components of the program. Graduates are ready for jobs in regulatory bodies, academia, or pharmaceutical research. The program places a strong emphasis on data analysis, experimental design, and critical thinking.
