Vision

Diamond Harbour Women's University, the first women's university in Eastern India is strategically located at an hour's distance from the city of Kolkata. Although conceived as a target institute for the marginalized and deprived women students in South 24 Parganas the fledgling institution is also attracting a diverse section of students from different backgrounds because of its locational advantage and its holistic teaching standards. The institute has evolved into a dynamic, multifaceted, teaching learning fraternity since its inception in 2012 and continues to promote a socially inclusive outreach.

Women students of the region have enthusiastically responded to this platform by exploring and expanding their potentials in various courses offered in the Sciences and the Arts. With its ultimate goal of women-empowerment through education the University offers a unique blend of research opportunities and career advancement.
