Prof. Battu Satyanarayana was born at Bommakal Village, Karimnagar district, Telangana State. He has obtained his M.Sc and Ph.D degrees from Osmania University. He got CSIR JRF through the examination conducted by CSIR. He served as a Lecturer at Indira Gandhi National University, New Delhi, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor in the department of Chemistry, Osmania University, Hyderabad. He has 32 years of experience at UG and PG teaching and 36 years of Research experience.
His area of research includes Coordination Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Catalysis, Bio-inorganic chemistry, Nano-materials and Environmental Chemistry. He has guided 18 students for their Ph.D. degree. He has published 80 research papers in Peer reviewed journals. He has carried out several research projects and presented papers at national and international conferences. He delivered several key note addresses and lectures at seminars/ conferences.
He is a life member of Indian Science Congress Association and a Annual Member of Indian Chemical Society. He is a member of Voluntary Educational Societies such as Osmania Graduation Association, Hyderabad, Vijaya Nagar Vidya Samithi, Hyderabad, Sri Saraswathi Vidya Peetham, Telangana State. He has organized workshops to train employees of HMWS&SB on analysis of water. He is a resource person for UGC-HRDC of several Universities for Orientation and Refresher Courses and also FDP of affiliated Colleges.
