Vice Chancellor Message

• It is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to all those students who wish to join Chaudhary Devi Lal University Sirsa (Haryana) for sharpening their intellect, talents and skills.

• Situated at the crucial western junction of Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan, the University caters to the academic needs of the youth primarily of this area, though it wishes to reach out to yet more diversity of students even beyond national borders. It is a fast emerging institution that has already taken lead for the implementation of NEP 2020 and is making every effort to provide avenues for quality education that would match the national and international standards. 

• Chaudhary Devi Lal University is a multidisciplinary state university imparting education to 3700 students on the campus and more than 50000 students in its 67 affiliated government/government-aided/self-finance colleges/institutions falling in the Districts of Sirsa and Fatehabad in Haryana. The university campus runs 24 post-graduate departments, offering 33 academic programmes in addition to PhD as per Learning Outcome Based Curriculum Framework under Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). This has made our curriculum standards nationally and internationally compatible. Besides, the university also takes pride in running a University College of Graduate Studies (USGS) and a University College offering 07 Four Year Degree Programs with multiple exit options under NEP 2020 and 06 Three-Year Undergraduate Degree Programs respectively under CBCS.

• The university is committed to academic expansion and diversification by launching new socially relevant Four Year Degree programmes which would hone students’ professional skills as per the spirit of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. These programmes will offer a holistic curriculum for the over-all growth of the students. I am very confident that these programmes will be popular and will attract students from far flung areas of India and abroad.

• In order to achieve further growth at a comparatively accelerated pace, university is striving to sign MOUs with foreign government/educational institutions of repute as a part of the national drive of internationalization of Indian higher education. The mission of the university is to produce quality humans and professionals who will strive for the upliftment of the nation and humanity at large.

• Spread over 213 acres of land university campus offers an eco-friendly environment with solar energy generation systems fulfilling 43 percent of its electricity needs, sewerage treatment plant to recycle wastewater, e-rickshaws and massive tree plantation drives. It is fast developing into a full-fledged university township with four teaching blocks, administrative blocks, huge library, three boys and three girls hostels, sprawling residential complex, faculty house, health centre, shopping complex and a centrally air-conditioned multi-purpose hall-cum-auditorium. The latter is a majestic building for organizing all kinds of events-social, academic, cultural, and indoor sports activities. There is also a large sports ground to hold outdoor sports activities.
