Vice Chancellor Message

With immense pleasure and gratitude I would like to introduce our University, Cluster University, Jammu, (CLUJ). Cluster University of Jammu was established under RUSA Programme of Govt. of India and Srinagar & Jammu Cluster University Act, 2016. The University was launched in April 2017 by Hon’ble HRD Minister, Sh. Prakash Javedkar Ji, with aim to impart knowledge/skill based Higher Education to cater the needs of students of the Jammu and Kashmir & Nation as a whole. Despite some hardships because of infancy stage of the University, under the patronage of Hon’ble Lt. Governor, J&K and Chancellor of Cluster University, Sh. Manoj Sinha Ji as well as with kind support from the Govt. of India and Govt. of J&K, University is marching ahead with its mission and vision. University is running several Under-Graduate Courses in Science, Arts, Social Science, Humanities and Computer Applications in its five Constituent Colleges, the oldest and prestigious Colleges of Jammu. In addition, about twelve Five year integrated honors courses in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Geology, English, Linguistic & Literature, Commerce, Family & Community Science, History & Cultural Heritage and B.Ed-M.Ed are also running in different schools successfully. University is running and expanding which futuristic and bold vision and mission. The teaching and learning programmes of the CLUJ is committed to engage and tackle the needs and challenges of the students and people of J&K and the Nation. It is being developed as centre of academic excellence to produce human resource with high academic credentials enriched with strong character, nationalism and human values without any gender, caste, religion, race, regional discrimination & bias. CLUJ is committed to impart teaching to transform and empower the youngs in such a way that the students become self confident, knowledgeable and employable. University is working relentlessly for the development of different courses in the light of New Education Policy-2020 considering the benefits of all the stakeholders to achieve the all round excellence. I appeal to all the energetic students and faculty with full of potentials to strive hard to make the Cluster University, Jammu, a unique centre of learning and research. I particularly appeal to my dear students to engage and excel themselves in learning and extra-curricular activities to meet the multiple challenges in times to come. Lastly, we all the stakeholders of the University should whole heartedly work relentlessly to face the challenges of our upcoming University and to fulfill the dreams and desires of the students and people of J&K.
