Vice Chancellor Message

• JIS University started its journey in the year 2015 with an objective to offer quality education and research in the fields of Science, Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, Legal Science. The main objective of establishing this University was to nurture young minds and make them ready to face the scientific and technological challenges of the century. Prof. B. C. Mal, Prof. Indranil Sengupta and Prof. Ajoy Kumar Ray contributed their efforts as the Vice Chancellors, to bring up the name and fame of the University to its present respectability.

• At present, the University has eight Schools. They are School of Agricultural Science, School of Education, School of Engineering, School of Hospitality and Hotel Administration, School of Juridical Science, School of Management Studies, School of Pharmaceutical Technology and School of Science, offering 38 programs at various levels. JIS University is proud for its vibrant and quality Ph. D. programs in all the Schools, where highly qualified faculty members are engaged as research guides.

• Our fully structured job oriented courses, collaboration with reputed industries across the globe, modern infrastructure and dedicated faculty members from various renowned academic institutes aim to build the modern society with all round academic excellence. There are a large number of non-teaching staff members who are silently working in the background and are primarily responsible for the smooth running of the University. We are constantly thriving to make the University preferred destinations for the students in the years to come.

• In the present day competitive environment, teaching-learning and research need to reorient to the demands of modern curriculum. It has been our constant endeavour at JIS University to evolve with time, to meet such newer challenges of societal significance. This University has been able to apposition itself as one of the leading centres of higher education, through its well- groomed academic system and progressive administrative policies of the Management.
