Vice Chancellor Message

• All are welcome to Madhabdev University situated in a historic place of Assam, Narayanpur. Narayanpur is the birthplace of the great Vaishnavite saint Mahapurush Sri Sri Madhabdev and is inhabited by people from various castes, creeds, communities and ethnic groups of Assam. Places of historical importance like Belaguri Sattra, Badala Sattra, Phulani Thaan, Bishnubalikuchi Satra, Dahgharia Satra, Budha Bapuchang, Maghnowa Dol, Gohain-Kamal Ali, Radhapukhuri, Burhaburhi Pukhuri, Rangati Pukhuri, etc. are situated here.

• People of this locality had a long cherished dream of a University at Narayanpur in the name of Mahapurush Sri Sri Madhabdev. With the up-gradation of the existing Madhabdev College to Madhabdev University, the dream of the people of the northern bank of Assam has become a reality. The Chancellor of the University, the Hon’ble Governor of Assam has bestowed upon me the opportunity to be the Vice-Chancellor of the University as well as the responsibility to build up the University. At this glorious moment, I wish to share my excitement with all aspiring students, respected guardians and all esteemed citizens and humbly appeal to all to be associated with and contribute to the realization of the Vision and Mission of this newly born institution. I also take this opportunity to acknowledge the selfless services of all the people of this locality whose endeavour has resulted in the establishment of this institution and achieving its present status.

• The Mission of this University would be to empower society to overcome backwardness by achieving enlightenment through quality education and to instil the values and philosophy of Mahapurush Sri Sri Madhabdev in the hearts of the people.

• Once again I heartily welcome all stakeholders and earnestly hope that a united endeavour with dedicated hearts will open up new horizons for the service of the society.
