Vision

विद्यायाः सामर्थ्यं कौटल्येन अर्थशास्त्रे ससामञ्जस्यं प्रतिपादितम्, यथा –

• श्रुताद्धि प्रज्ञोपजायते प्रज्ञया योगो योगादात्मवत्तेति विद्यासामर्थ्यम्॥

 तदेतन्मनसि निधाय राष्ट्रियसंस्कृतविश्वविद्यालयस्य लक्ष्यवाक्यमेवं निरमायि

• संस्कृतभाषायां तथा शास्त्रेषु बहुवैषयिकप्रयोगेण सह स्तराभिवृद्धिद्वारा, समुदयनेन संस्कृतमूलस्रोतसः स्थिरीकरणद्वारा, संस्कृतस्य तथा विज्ञानबोधनस्य च प्रचारणद्वारा तथा भारतीयानां आनुवंशिक-पारम्पर्य-संस्कृतीनां रक्षणद्वारा च आत्मतृप्तिभरितां शास्त्रज्ञानसंवलितविज्ञानवृत्तिमत्याः नवपरम्परायाः निर्माणम्
• आत्माभिवृद्ध्या प्रबुद्ध्या सफलजनसेवया सह समाजस्य सकारात्मकयोगदानेन सहितस्य अध्येतुः प्रकरणम्

• राष्ट्रियस्तरे शास्त्रार्थप्रशिक्षणशालानाम् आयोजनम्
• शिक्षणे तथा गवेषणपद्धतौ भाषाप्रयोगशालाप्रभृतीनां नूतनौद्योगानाम् उपयोगः

• समुदयनेन संस्कृतमूलस्रोतसः स्थिरीकरणम्

• सान्स्क्-नेट् द्वारा संस्थानाम् विदुषां गवेषणकाणाञ्च समवयनस्य रचनम्
• वाल्मीकिरामायण-महाभारतेतिहासयोः पुराणानाञ्च विश्वस्य प्रमुखासु भाषासु अनुवादद्वारा प्रचारः
• प्राचीनशास्त्राणां आधुनिकसमाजोपयोगितां सन्दर्श्य तेषाम् पोषणम्

• संस्कृतस्य तथा विज्ञानबोधनस्य च प्रचारणम्

• 1. संस्कृते विज्ञानम् इति प्रदर्शिनीसमायोजनम्
  2. संस्कृतस्य विज्ञानसम्बन्धे गवेषणम्
  3. संस्कृते विज्ञानसम्बन्धिनां विषये केन्द्रस्थापनम्, तद्द्वारा पाठ्यप्रणालीरचनञ्च
  4. प्राचीनशास्त्रविदुषाम् आधुनिकवैज्ञानिकानाञ्च परस्परसम्बन्धाय गोष्ठीरचनम्
  5. संस्कृतस्य विज्ञानसम्बन्धे सदसां, सङ्गोष्ठीनां तथा कार्यशालानाञ्च आयोजनम्

• भारतीयानां आनुवंशिक-पारम्पर्य-संस्कृतीनां रक्षणम्

• मातृकाणां सूक्ष्मतया सर्वेक्षणम्, सञ्चयनम्, परिरक्षणञ्च, तासां समीक्षात्मकसम्पादनानि च
• मानवचैतन्यविषये तथा योगविज्ञानविषये गवेषणस्य दृढीकरणम्
• भारतस्य संस्कृतिदूतरूपेण छात्राणां प्रकल्पनम्

Vice-Chancellor's Message

It is a matter of great pleasure and honour for me to be a part of Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri National Sanskrit University, New Delhi (A Central University established by an Act of Parliament) for achieving its objectives and creating an environment of knowledge application and holistically inspiring the students to become eminent scholars for the society. We are making efforts for preservation of Shastraic tradition, Interpretation of Shastras and to develop new innovations in the field of Shastraic skills to create abilities in the students enrolled for pursuing various Shastraic courses in this University.

I would like to mention that this University was assessed and accredited by the peer team of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and has been awarded 'A' Grade up to June-2020. The University with the help and contributions made by its Faculty implemented the Choice Based Credit System after due revision and restructuring of the curriculum of courses at all levels. Performing a leading role in the field of Sanskrit education, the university has been successfully climbing up on the ladder of progress in Sanskrit teaching and progressing with new trends in the field of Sanskrit to fulfill the need of the society. I am proud to mention that this University has launched new Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses in Yoga during the academic year 2018-19 and received a good response from the aspirants. Starting of new courses and enlarging the annual intake in other courses has helped the university and students to maintain a healthy growth in the number of seats available for Under Graduates, Post Graduates, M.Phil, and Ph.D. courses.

The University is prepared to accept new challenges and make well known education centre to achieve excellence in the area of Shastraic education. To keep pace with rapid changes at national and international level, all the courses are reviewed and upgraded periodically. The Teaching Learning Centre under PMMMNMTT has been established in the university to prepare Teachers, Teacher Educators and Researchers for empowering with aims at ensuring quality in educational development at all levels of education (Primary, Secondary and Tertiary) and to address the needs for designing, implementing and evaluating teaching-learning systems in the field of Sanskrit Education with commitment, Competence and Confidence.

Further, the campus of the University is ICT enabled for providing educational environment to the students. The University has highly qualified faculty in their respective fields of expertise. The learning experiences in the campus pave a strong path for enhancement of overall growth of the students. To achieve our objectives and goals, this university is providing quality education to its students by providing smart class rooms, well equipped computer labs as well as virtual class room. We are further trying to build more class rooms with modern technology and hostel for girls students also.
