Vice Chancellor Message

• Prof. Arka Kumar Das Mohapatra is the Vice-Chancellor of Odisha State Open University at present. Before taking over as the Vice-Chancellor of Odisha State Open University, he was working in Sambalpur University as the senior most Professor of Business Administration and the Chairman, Post Graduate Council.

• Prof.  Mohapatra has over 35 years of teaching, research and administrative experience to his credit. He was the Vice-Chancellor in-Charge of Sambalpur University. He has discharged several administrative responsibilities of Sambalpur University such as the Director, UGC Human Resource Development Centre; Director, Distance and Continuing Education; Comptroller of Finance, Officer on Special Duty; Head, Dept. of Business Administration; Dean, School of Management Studies; Member- Syndicate, Senate, Academic Council, Research Degree Committee, Examination Committee, and Regulation Amending Committee, besides being the members of Board of Studies.

• A gold medalist from Utkal University and with a brilliant academic career, Prof. Mohapatra has to his credit 2 Indian Patents, 8 books and over 152 research papers published in various international and national Journals of repute. He has successfully guided 20 Ph.D and 15 M. Phil scholars too, while 6 Ph.D scholars are still working under him.

• Prof. Mohapatra has earned many awards and distinctions, including the best paper award in Paris, France; the MTC Global Award as distinguished management Teacher to list a few. He has also visited UK (London), France (Paris), Japan (Tokyo) etc. on academic assignments.
