Education is backbone of any civilization and is instrumental for the progress of the mankind. As said by Swami Vivekananda, “Education is the manifestation of the perfection already present in man”. University education fine tunes that perfection to become a complete man, a man who is well aware about his power of intellect and his social responsibility. As we grow up in life it becomes equally important to make others grow with us so that the environment and the ecosystem surrounding that environment, both flourishes. A truly educated person seeks to change the world and make it a better place by changing the old rules and replacing them with new schools of thought. In order to make that happen it is necessary to see that education percolates in all the strata of the society so that education becomes easily accessible by all. Quality education will help in building quality people which in turn would help in building a strong nation. The most important aspect of education is, it helps in controlling our thought process and this in turn helps us to control our behavior. Sister Niveditahad been one of the pioneers in women education especially in West Bengal. She fought for women education and had been an ardent supporter of the requirement of education for all sections of the people.

At Sister Nivedita University, we the faculty members constantly focus on holistic education which integrates education with our traditional value chain. Our pedagogy and our infrastructure bring out the best in them.

We believe that education does not end in getting a good job rather it begins from there. We teach students to be more socially responsible so that no matter where they are and which sector they are into, they think about their ecosystem and their immediate environment before taking any decision. We feel simply imparting education is not enough rather we connect the students with core value chains which helps them in selecting the best alternative for their career and life.

Our campus blends traditionalism with modern thinking. We leverage the students by enhancing their critical thinking through seminars, conferences and workshops. Almost all courses involve field work which gives them a practical understanding of the theoretical approach. We believe that all our students will have a success story of their own no matter which part of the world they are into,which we can proudly share with others making our University and our nation proud.
