Vice Chancellor Message

It is a matter of immense pleasure for me to be a part of the family of Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University (TNTEU) as its Vice Chancellor. My appreciation goes to students, scholars, teachers, staff, affiliating colleges and all other stakeholders of TNTEU for committing themselves towards providing quality education, building the image of the university, global collaborations and working towards bagging accreditation and higher ranking

Swami Vivekananda always believed that the development of a Nation is not possible without real education. Understanding the importance of quality of teachers and teachers’ education, the Government of Tamil Nadu has founded an exclusive university for teachers’ education in the year 2008. As the Vice-Chancellor of this university, I am confident that, efforts to excel in the field of education and inculcation of moral values amongst students, scholars, teachers and staff at the university campus will continue with greater zeal.

Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University is committed to need based curriculum development, innovative student centric learning processes, outcome oriented research culture, world class infrastructure, transparency in administration, participative management, employability skill enhancement and openness and flexibility in teaching and research framework.

As we all know that “Education is Empowerment”, Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University has been on the path of delivering quality education, by developing young human resources on the foundation of ethical and moral values, while boosting their leadership qualities, research culture and innovative skills. We are happy to note that India is considered as an emerging superpower. Our nation needs more creative and innovative talents to meet the unprecedented challenges and advantages of the vast opportunities presented by technological changes and globalization. Therefore, there is a necessity to renew and focus our commitment to the excellence in education. TNTEU is performing on this noble task.

Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University has determined to contribute to the society through a centralized pursuit and practice of education, scholarship, research, social responsibility, Nation building, International collaborations and exchange programmes at the highest level of excellence and strive to create a vibrant community of thinking individuals who stand out as valued members of the society and fulfill the requirement of true teachers in our humanity.

On behalf of TNTEU, I sincerely thank “His Excellency the Governor and the Chancellor of the University”, the Pro-Chancellor, Government of Tamil Nadu, Government of India, funding agencies, regulatory bodies and other well wishers for their guidance, support and input towards the development of the University.
