India being the highest populous country with nearly 66% of its youth population, the higher education system has to play a critical role for building its future and to be a developed nation by 2047.

Indian Higher Education System comprises of 1,043 Universities having GER of 27.1%, backed by 23 IITs, 738 Medical Colleges, 19 AIIMS, 07 IISERs and 31 NITs.

India ranks third (5.31%) in scientific publications, after the United States (16.54%) and China (20.67%). Next decade is the era of quantum computing and its fusion with Artificial Intelligence will bring a revolution in answering difficult questions relating to Cancer, insomnia and ensuring low-cost health systems. It promises to be an era of High-end Research, One Health and Start-up promotion coupled with Entrepreneurship.

I am happy to inform that Swami Rama Himalayan University, which is a hospital University has started pursuing cutting edge research in many sectors. A Centre of Excellence in Oncology Research is being created under the guidance of Noble Laureate (2004) Dr. Aaron Ciechanover. We have also created Chairs of Eminence in Drug and Pharma, Entrepreneurship, Water Sector, Information and Communication Technology, and Traditional Knowledge Systems. We propose to create more Centres of Excellences in Holistic Health, Cancer Immuno-therapeutics, AMR including Phage Therapy, Palliation and Rehabilitation in Cancer. We have already created a separate scientific cadre in the University to promote research and development.

I call forth aspirants to become part of our flourishing University family wherein holistic education is imparted to the future generations which is all geared to play a positive role in nation-building.
